Performance
The 2022 Genesis GV70 is powered by superior modern powertrains. An amazing turbo four cranks out over 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. This is plenty of power for some serious fun. All-wheel drive is standard, a brand first. This is a smart system that gives you the handling benefits of front- and rear-wheel drive as well as the all-weather benefits of electronic AWD. The twin turbo V6 makes itself known with 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. Basically this is GV80 power but it is propelling the lighter GV70. Now standard with the GV70 twin-turbo V6, a camera-based suspension is constantly adjusting the response based on the camera’s reading of the road ahead. This is another feature that this Genesis SUV gets from its bigger sibling.
Capability, Utility and Specifications
To provide the maximum passenger space, Genesis designed the seatbacks to allow the rear seat passengers to have much more knee space and legroom. Motor Trend praises how the cabin feels precisely assembled and carefully crafted. One editor said that the GV70 "interior punches far above its price and segment." The standard 14.5 inch touch screen has Genesis advanced navigation so you don’t have to step up to another trim level unless you want to. Finding entertainment is easy with an iPhone and Apple CarPlay or perhaps you prefer your Android smartphone and Android Auto with Google Maps. In the Advanced trims, the rearview camera is upgraded to an exciting 360-degree camera system. On the dash, a 12.3 digital gauge cluster brings everything in sharp focus for the driver. When the head-up display is engaged, you have critical information right at eye level without looking down at your instruments.
Safety
Getting A's on its first day in school, the GV70 is a Top Safety Pick Plus. This designation from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) is based on crash scores and the viability of the crash avoidance features. Genesis doesn’t leave safety to chance.
