How is the GV60 Different
The 2022 GV60 was designed to be different. It isn't like its gas-powered siblings in the Genesis lineup. It isn't like any other EV. Designers wanted to give it special aspects that would indicate just how futuristic this ride really is. When the owner opens the door, a Crystal Sphere appears to float above the console. Behind the steering wheel, a panoramic digital instrument panel sits alongside an infotainment screen. Creating a more spacious cabin, engineers keep the floor flat on both rows. Drivers will appreciate the Genesis Ergo Motion chair for its cooling and calming features. Bang & Olufsen designed a 17-speaker audio system that has four mood settings to customize what the owner hears.
What Technologies are Available
Ready to entertain you, the dash features the most advanced touchscreen and digital instrumentation. You'll have navigation and all of the connectivity you need to find information and music from a wide variety of sources.
Biometrics are available with this exclusive luxury EV. To grant you entry, you can use Face Connect. It utilizes a Near Infra-Red camera that can recognize you when you stand at the door. Then it releases the locks and the door handles pop up to allow you to open the door.
Once inside, you can use Fingerprint Authentication to unlock the powertrain and start the EV. On the road, you can tell the vehicle to use the accelerator pedal only. This i-Pedal feature really helps in slow and go traffic, allowing you to simply ease off the accelerator to signal braking. If you want an EV that doubles as a charger, you're in luck. These offer Vehicle to Load (V2L) capability to let you plug in appliances at campgrounds or tailgate parties. You can even power appliances at home in a black-out.
What are the Performance Choices
When it comes to performance, Genesis does not disappoint. You have some remarkable choices. Three models offer a range of 280 miles, 248 miles or 228 miles, depending on the level of performance. A rear-wheel drive Genesis GV60 generates 225 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Stepping up to four-wheel drive, output increases to 313 horsepower and 446 lb-ft. If you choose the performance model, output increases to 429 horsepower. Some GV60 models have a Boost Mode. This gives it more power in an instant and allows it to rush from zero mph to 60 mph in just four seconds. If you are a driving enthusiast, the Drift Mode is for you. It allows you to alter your braking and traction to allow for sport driving on the track.
Plug In Battery Power
Genesis has defied convention by utilizing 800V architecture. This allows for fast charging overnight and at roadside charging stations. On the road, the vehicle can precondition the battery before the charge. This allows for it to go from 10 to 80 percent power in just 18 minutes. Instead of regular regenerative braking, it has Smart Regeneration. This allows the luxury EV to adjust how much energy it captures based on traffic data and maps. In other words, it anticipates braking needs and adjusts according to conditions.
